ManaSastram operates the website manasastram.com. This page explains what we collect, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. We keep collection to the minimum the site actually needs.

What we collect
You can read our guides and use every free tool without an account and without telling us who you are. Beyond that we hold only what you choose to give us.
- When you email us. Your name, your email address and whatever you write, including any birth details you send with a question.
- When you open a free reading. Your email address, and your WhatsApp number if you enter one, along with the birth date, birth time and birth place you typed into the tool.
- When you buy a report. Your name, email, phone number, the birth details for the report, and the Razorpay order and payment reference.
- Automatically. Standard anonymous usage data such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, through analytics and cookies.
What we never see
Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay, a payment gateway regulated in India. Your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, netbanking password and any other payment credential go straight to Razorpay and never reach this website. We receive only a payment reference and a confirmation that the payment succeeded.
Why we hold it
- To generate and deliver the report you paid for, and to let you reopen it later from the link we email you.
- To answer your questions and handle refunds or complaints.
- To send the daily panchangam and festival reminders, but only if you ticked the box asking for them.
- To keep the site working and secure, and to understand which pages are useful.
Your birth details
Birth date, birth time and birth place are personal, and we treat them that way. They are stored against your order so the report can be rebuilt if you lose it, and so we can check a calculation if you question it. They are never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never published anywhere. Ask us to delete them and we do.
Messages on WhatsApp
We only message you if you gave us your number and ticked the consent box. You can stop at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by emailing us. We do not add anyone to a list without asking, and we do not pass numbers to anyone else.
Who else touches your data
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any price. A small number of services process data on our behalf so the site can function.
- Razorpay for payment processing.
- Bluehost, where this website and its database are hosted.
- Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics.
- Open-Meteo, which converts a birth place name into coordinates and a timezone. Only the place name you type is sent, never your name or your birth time.
We may also disclose information where the law genuinely requires it.
Cookies
We use cookies and third party analytics to understand how the site is used. Your browser lets you block or delete them at any time, and some features may then behave differently. Our tools also remember small things locally in your own browser, such as the last report you unlocked, so you do not have to enter details twice. That stays on your device.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting rules require. Everything else is kept only while it is useful for the purpose it was collected for, or until you ask us to delete it.
Your choices
Write to manasastram2@gmail.com and you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete your details, or stop messaging you. We acknowledge within 48 hours and act within 30 days.
Children
This site is not intended for children under 18, and reports should be bought by an adult. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us and we remove it.
