A good muhurtham day needs three things to agree: an auspicious nakshatram for that ceremony, a subha tithi, and a favourable vara (weekday). For marriages and house warming, tradition also avoids Sukra moudhyami and Guru moudhyami, the weeks when Venus or Jupiter is combust near the Sun. This tool computes all of that from the real sky for each day. The final muhurtham (the exact lagna and ghadiya on the chosen day) must always be fixed by your purohit.

What is Sukra moudhyami and Guru moudhyami?

When Venus or Jupiter travels too close to the Sun it is called combust, or moudhyami. Why do published panchangam lists differ slightly?

Regional traditions weigh factors differently, and some observe additional rules like sunya masa or specific ashtami and shashti exclusions. This tool follows the widely used nakshatra, tithi, vara and moudhyami rules.
